Operation Leaving Home

Sitting in a university, sun glaring off the trees and the traditional stone building producing a wonderfull scene. Sitting on a bench of stone that has seen more history than i would care to believe. Groups of students wander around laughing in the tranquil sunlight of the university grounds. I enjoy the summer, when the people are happy and the days are lighter on the soul. That seems like a lifetime ago. At 1.03PM that afternoon the world changed for ever. Great vessles appeared in America, China and UK. In Glasgow a great machine of colossal engineering and techological achievment appeared above the hussle and bussle in the streets. The sunlight bounced brilliantly off the glass like hull of the machine giving it a look of pure white light. Some people panicked. Leaving their daily tasks to run home for what thought could have been the last time. Others stood, smiles on their faces at the change this great machine would bring to the world.

Landing in the heart of civilizations of the world, whoever was coming was not doing it with subtelty. For what seemed like hours i ran over, watching in awe as this....this thing landed on grass outside the Kelvingrove. My heart beat faster than i had thought possible. As expected a great crowd had gathered. A diiferent look on each face made the scene now seem almost comical. How the world changed that day!
Finally the great ships came to life. Creating in equal measure screams and cheers in the great crowds. The buzz of planes and helicopters over head seemed almost surreal and insignificant as we waited for the ship to take some form of interactivity with us.

When the doors opened a great gasp engulfed the crowd. A small crown of tall beings, hair as white as the reflection coming from their great ship. A reflection that closed many eyelids slightly. The crowd came down with a tranquility and friendliness that calmed the nerves in a way nothing else ever could. A silence stood over the new visitors and the ever growing crowd. A small child ran forward, the crowd stopped in sudden fear. The young child, now a very young and famous member of our forces stopped at their feet. The visitors let out a great smile on each face and picked up the small child. A tear appearing on a female visitor, a beautiful face with gold shinning locks, great blue eyes and a smile to melt the heart. That was the day our two great nations came together.

After the initial shock of the past weeks many groups, either in anger or fear of their power over the sheep that were the human race, begin to resist the newfound allies that were the Nalou. Many aspects of two civilizations took a while to mix, the great leaders of their countries in talks with the befuddled people behind our government. The Nalou came from a planet of great beauty it occured. With their knowledge and history we could match our own struggles. Disease, Climate problems, Animal extinction, terrorism and war all had plauged these people in their past. They had overcome it, and saved us the result of unlimited years of stuggle and research.

It emerged that much loved Nalou had problems of their own. A great civilzation had been swepping their system. destroying and plundering everything that came across in there way. The Nalou and their allies had struggled for hundreds of years against the might of this unknown invader. Pictures of demonic giants were beamed all over out TV sets. Images of devastated planets and lost civilzations were brought to life. Our people had pledged to rehome these great and noble people. Their doctors had fulled our hospitals. Teaching us how to harvest new fuels and treat diseases and virus's that had beem our Nemesis for years. The Nalou had never pressed us for change, instead they were included in our chambers of debate. The people had needed help wether we had seen it or not. Africa was a big interest to them. Barren land had never been seen for a great number of years by them. They helped the sick and rebuilt the continent. Teaching them how to use their land for the better, rather than try to immitate those of the west.

The UN had agreed to send an advanced party to view the plee of the Nalou. Ten brave advisors were sent out to assess the situation, their result did not take long to obtain. Our newspapers, radios and Televisions sets were full of the plight of the Nalou. Two weeks later the strategic planning to mobilize our mass forcies begun. Not all nations offered aid to our new allies desperation.
